About Stephen
Stephen Long is a photographer with decades of experience both as a passionate amateur and as a commercial shooter, regularly photographing weddings, events and sports and preferring a documentary style over posed scenes.

However, it is his background as a chef who has worked in acclaimed restaurants around the world that sets him apart in his specialist genre of food photography. He has shot for several restaurants and food brands alike, and is as comfortable shooting food in natural light as in studio light. He is currently a culinary arts tutor and is excited to combine his love for photography with his relaxed teaching style to educate and inspire.

A true all-rounder, Stephen has a keen artistic eye for landscapes, fine art, abstract, travel and street photography and is never happier than with a camera in his hand.

Stephen obtained a Diploma in Digital Photography in 2016 and has had work published in NZ Camera and I Am New Zealand books.  He has also had work exhibited at Railway Street Studios
